Who We Are

Our Story

At the core of our mission is the conviction that every person with a disability has the right to live with dignity, participate actively in all facets of life, and contribute meaningfully to decision-making processes.

To achieve this, DPB has implemented a multifaceted approach — designing and delivering comprehensive leadership development programs that equip activists with disabilities with the skills and knowledge to navigate legal systems, engage in policy advocacy, and mobilize communities. These initiatives have produced a cadre of future leaders who are actively driving change at both local and national levels.

In addition to advocacy and capacity-building initiatives, DPB provides essential legal and social assistance programs. We offer direct support to survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), help beneficiaries access government disbursement programs, and support persons with disabilities to obtain disability allowances and cards — ensuring they receive crucial financial and social security benefits.

Through unwavering dedication and collaborative partnerships, Disability Pride Bangladesh continues to push boundaries and set new standards for disability rights. Our vision is a future where persons with disabilities are recognized as vital agents of change, where inclusive civic participation is the norm, and where every individual contributes to building a just and equitable society.
